Johannesburg – Mamelodi Sundowns have reportedly put a R37m price tag on Khama Billiat, with Egyptian giants Al Ahly said to be offering around R18m for his services.

According to Soccer Laduma, the 25-year-old won’t be able to leave unless Sundowns’ valuation is met.

“Al Ahly are willing to pay around R17.8m for Billiat, however sources have indicated that ‘Downs are looking to fetch a figure closer to R37.2m in order to let him leave Chloorkop,” the source said.

The Zimbabwean International has displayed the best form of his career for the Brazilians, and it has led to interest from Al Ahly, with Zamalek also keeping tabs on the playmaker.

Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane has previously confirmed the interest shown in the player, although it seems he is reluctant to lose his star attacker, if the hefty price-tag is anything to go by.

Billiat, who hit 12 goals in the 2015/16 season as the side claimed the Absa Premiership title, has played an influential role in helping the club advance to the CAF Champions League semi-finals.

Meanwhile, the Chloorkop side will feature in their final Group B fixture against Enyimba on Tuesday, August 23 before competing in the semi-finals.
